You Oughta Know: Reynolds and Morissette Split

Another celebrity couple has called it quits.

"Van Wilder" star Ryan Reynolds and singer Alanis Morisette have ended their engagement of two years, reports People. There are no details about the reasons for the breakup.

Morissette, 32, and Reynolds, 29, met in 2002 at Drew Barrymore's birthday party and dated a couple of years before he popped the question in 2004.

While doing publicity for his most recent comedy "Just Friends," Reynolds admitted that he was stuck in the "friend zone" with Morissette until he finally admitted his feelings for her.

Since nothing is known about their breakup, there's no telling if Morissette will be inspired to write a song detailing their relationship. In her song "You Oughta Know," the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter angrily lashed back at a former boyfriend with some rather graphic language. While the ex remains unnamed, many have assumed that it's former "Full House" comedian Dave Coulier.

Morissette was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for her song "Wunderkind" in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." She also appeared as God in Kevin Smith's "Dogma."

Reynolds' film credits include "The In-Laws," "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle," "Blade: Trinity" and "The Amityville Horror" update. He next appears in Joe Carnahan's ensemble mob comedy-drama "Smokin' Aces," which will be released in 2007.
