Weird. That's the word the comes up the most when trying to describe this uber-trippy yet incredibly compelling David Lynch mystery. The series, on for two seasons, follows the events that unfold when FBI Agent Dale Cooper investigates the death of small town sweetheart Laura Palmer. Odd and iconic, the show's popularity was owed partly due to the mystery but mainly it was the characters and supernatural undertones that kept people hooked. If the interweb was around back then, I'm sure it would've went on to see a third season.
