'JFK: One P.M. Central Standard Time'

In a month that surely has seen its share of programming marking the

50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy,

this George Clooney-narrated documentary (a "Secrets of the Dead"

special) smartly drew parallels between the path of the chief

executive and that of CBS News legend Walter Cronkite, who had

interviewed Kennedy ... and who would play a famously pivotal role

in communicating the events in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, to the

American public at large.

-- Jay Bobbin
