If Donnie Wahlberg seems to hit many similar notes weekly in his 

portrayal of NYPD detective Danny Reagan, an extra shading was 

poignantly apparent as the character relied on an ex-cop informant 

(an excellent guest turn by Frank Whaley) to get to the bottom of a 

Wall Street murder. Things ended up in a way Danny hadn't 

anticipated, resulting in his tearful visit to church for Confession 

... made all the more powerful by Wahlberg's body language, without
