'The Spoils of Babylon' (IFC)

Premieres 9 p.m. ET Thursday, Jan. 9 - A long-form parody of a TV genre that is already teetering close to self-parody can be awfully tough to pull off -- yet the people behind "The Spoils of Babylon," a send-up of 1970s-'80s style epic miniseries, seem to have pulled it off based on what we've seen so far. Executive produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and boasting a cast that includes Kristen Wiig, Tobey Maguire, Tim Robbins and Haley Joel Osment, "Babylon" is hands-down the weirdest, but also potentially the funniest, new show of the winter.
