A night of celebration in the face of tragedy

There was no doubt about it: only 24 hours after her untimely death, legendary singer Whitney Houston was the star of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony. As the music industry celebrated, they also grieved one of their most beloved icons. She was honored from the red carpet to the opening monologue, mentioned throughout the night, and paid tribute to with a tearjerker performance.<br>
