Joseph Haro, 'Welcome to the Family'

The cast of NBC's "Welcome to the Family" (premiering THursday, Oct. 3) features four well-known actors -- Ricardo Chavira, Justina Machado, Mary McCormack and Mike O'Malley. Yet the person who kept attracting our attention in the show's pilot was Haro, a relative newcomer to the business who played an unnamed Warbler on a few "Glee" episodes and had a recurring part on "Awkward." As high-school valedictorian Junior Hernandez, Haro deftly shows that for all of his character's intelligence, he's still a kid who's not entirely prepared for his fast-approaching adulthood. Haro largely plays the straight man in the show's pilot, yet he shows off comic timing beyond his years. He could well become the heart of the series. -- Rick Porter, Zap2it RELATED: Find out who Joseph's last text was from and more in our Ones to Watch Q&A.
