Not only do the two men compete in terms of career and social standing, they also love the same woman (Clara Bow).
Veteran director William Wellman also included Gary Cooper, at an early point in his screen career, in the cast ... and, indicating her long history in the movie business, the legendary Edith Head created some of the costumes.
