'The Disappearance of Alice Creed'

Zap2It

Currently getting strong notices for "Tamara Drewe," Gemma Arterton ( "Quantum of Solace") spends lots of time restrained as the disappeared Alice in writer-director J. Blakeson's melodrama.

The character belongs to a rich British family targeted for a big ransom payment by kidnappers ( Eddie Marsan, Martin Compston), but the felons don't realize how skilled their hostage is at turning the tables. DVD extras: audio commentary by Blakeson; extended scenes; storyboards. *** (R: AS, N, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray)
