One of the most desired movies not previously released on DVD in America, this John Huston-directed 1951 classic finally makes it to that format. Humphrey Bogart won an Oscar as Charlie Allnut, the cynical captain of the riverboat named the African Queen.
He's reluctantly swayed into making a stand during World War I by a prim missionary (Katharine Hepburn, a terrific match for Bogart here). Robert Morley and Theodore Bikel also star in the adaptation of C.S Forester's novel. **** (Not rated: V) (Also on Blu-ray)Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
