Dennis Quaid will relive his "Parent Trap" experience, except with one difference: the twins won't be two girls.
The actor and his wife Kimberly have learned that the twins they are expecting through a surrogate mother will be one of each sex, reports People.
"We finally know the sexes of these sweet little children coming into the world - we've seen pictures of them," said Quaid Saturday, June 9 during his 5th Annual Dennis Quaid Charity Weekend in Austin. "One of them was a boy and one of them was a girl."
Although the couple is using a "gestational carrier," the babies, who are expected to make an appearance around Thanksgiving, will be their biological offspring.
Quaid, 53, married Kimberly nee Buffington, 35, on Independence Day 2004 in Montana. Quaid first met Buffington, a real estate agent, while performing with his band, The Sharks, in Austin, Texas in March 2003.
Quaid has been married twice before, first to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983 and then to Meg Ryan for 11 years beginning in 1991, with whom he has his son, Jack.
The actor's recent films include "The Day After Tomorrow," "In Good Company," "Flight of the Phoenix," "Yours, Mine and Ours" and "American Dreamz." He can be seen this fall in "Vantage Point" and is currently filming the sports drama "The Express."Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
