John Cusack is signed to star in "The Factory," a psychological thriller from Joel Silver's Dark Castle genre shingle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cusack will play a cop whose search for a serial killer becomes personal when his teenage daughter goes missing.
The trade paper says that production on "The Factory" could begin as soon as January with Morgan O'Neill at the helm.
O'Neill won the Australian version of "Project Greenlight" and co-wrote the script with actor Paul Leyden.
Earlier this week, Variety had Cusack attached to the historical thriller "Shanghai," though it's unclear if he chose "The Factory" over the Weinstein Co. production, or if he's just lining up a slew of upcoming roles.
The "Sure Thing" star followed up his summer sleeper hit "1408" with "Martian Child," which failed to stir up any box office heat. The "Better Off Dead" thespian will next be seen in "Grace Is Gone," a drama stirring Oscar buzz since Sundance.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
