A slew of actors has joined the CBS pilots "Big D," "Miami Trauma," "The Eastmans" and "The Good Wife."
In the Dallas-set "Big D," Deanne Dunagan plays a Texan Southern belle who welcomes her son back home from New York and meddles in his wife's life. The matriarch's daughter (Missi Pyle) is a tad sensitive and thrives on drama, while "30 Rock" actor Chris Parnell is in talks to play her preacher husband.
Next, CBS turns to film star Jeremy Northam for the ensemble medical drama "Miami Trauma." He'll play the affable but mysterious new doctor on the trauma ward.
Over on the "The Eastmans," about a family of doctors, Saffron Burrows plays Anna Eastman, who is struggling with the fact that her child might have autism while at the same time trying to develop a cure for the disorder. Gaby Hoffman and Jesse Bradford will portray twins Sally and Seth Eastman, a pathologist and doctor who's been suspended for a Vicodin addiction, respectively.
Finally, former "Gilmore Girls" guy Matt Czuchry has come aboard the drama "The Good Wife" as a Harvard grad and first-year associate at a top law firm that has also hired the titular politician's wife (Julianna Margulies) as a junior associate.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
