"American Pie" star Jason Biggs and "The Class" star Lizzy Caplan have signed on for wacky sidekick turns in the romantic comedy "Bachelor No. 2."
Kate Hudson and Dane Cook are the stars of the Lionsgate project.
Cook plays a man who makes money taking ex-girlfriends out on awful dates and causing them to realize how much they miss their boyfriends. However, when he takes out the ex-girlfriend (Hudson) of his best friend (Biggs), things get dicey.
Caplan will play the roommate of Hudson's character.
Also appearing in the Howard Deutch-directed ensemble is Alec Baldwin.
In addition to his work fornicating with apple-based pastries, Biggs has appeared in films including "Eight Below" and "Jersey Girl." This spring he starred in an comedy pilot that didn't make the cut at CBS.
Caplan is developing a reputation for shows that don't last very long including "The Pitts," "Related" and "The Class." Her big screen credits include "Mean Girls" and the upcoming J.J. Abrams-produced "Cloverfield" project.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
