'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues'

It was a long time coming, but television newsman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell, of course, who co-wrote the film with director Adam McKay) and his crew go back before the cameras in a sequel that's virtually sure to please fans of the original comedy.

It sends up the dawn of 24-hour news networks, as Ron leaves San Diego to join one in New York after being disappointed by not getting an expected promotion while his now-wife Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) did. Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner also are back on board, with Greg Kinnear and Kristen Wiig among newcomers ... plus some other very familiar faces, including Harrison Ford and Will Smith. *** (PG-13, R and unrated versions: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray and On Demand)
