Robert Bankhead, 29, Indianapolis, IN
On Monday, April 6th, at approximately 7:20 a.m., two brothers, ages 12 and 14, were leaving their apartment in the 10200 block of Thames Court when they were confronted by two black males at gunpoint and forced back into the apartment. Both were put onto the floor, facedown, with the 14 year old being tied up with a shoe string. The suspects then proceeded to rob the apartment, leaving with items in a black duffle bag. The father had left earlier to go to work and had noticed an unfamiliar dark colored four door sedan parked in the parking lot. He didn¿¿¿t see anybody in it when he passed it, but after leaving the complex noticed the vehicle again following him for a short distance. The apartment manager also saw a vehicle matching the same description parked south of the victim¿¿¿s home early that morning. Later, a maintainance man with the complex observed a black male walking away from the area of the victim¿¿¿s apartment with a black duffle bag. Neither of the boys was hurt during the robbery. One of the boys stated he thought he may have heard a third suspect enter the apartment during the robbery. It is now believed that one of the susepcts involved is Robert Bankhead, a 29 year old black male. He is now wanted on a warrant for eight different criminal charges, to include B felonies of Robbery and Confinement. Anybody with any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact IMPD Robbery at 327-3733, or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
