Race For Bayh's Senate Seat Heats Up

Candidates vying for the soon-to-be vacated U.S. Senate seat currently belonging to Senator Evan Bayh (R-Indiana), are stepping up efforts along the campaign trail this week. Tuesday, Congressman Brad Ellsworth (D-8th) made a stop in Greenfield to visit EnerDel, a breakthrough company exploring and developing lithium batteries. Challenger and former U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R) spent the day in northwest Indiana visiting Catepillar Inc. in Lafayette, one of that area's largest employers.
