( delish.com / December 3, 2012 ) While the subject matter of many System of a Down songs are usually strange (they sing about jumping around on a pogo stick for pete's sake), Chop Suey! is not one of them. Instead, the listener is presented with various images of death from start to finish, beginning when singer Serj Tankian whispers: "We're rolling suicide" and ending when he sings "When angels deserve to die." If anything, the song should be called Death! Hmm. Maybe one of the members is allergic to chop suey? |
