Best Art Gallery

1) Yale University Art Gallery

Yale university Art Gallery first won the Best Gallery designation two years ago. PR Specialist Maura Scanlon and Gallery staff Tasha Hymen and Claudia Mathieu credit the win to the gallery’s welcoming vibe, the extensive - over 200,000 works - collection and it being a great place to bring kids. The gallery is an encyclopedic museum, that covers all periods and regions with an especially impressive American art collection and sculpture garden behind. “There really is something there for everyone,” said Hymen. The gallery completes a renovation project in December 2012, which will expand the institution from one building to three. The free gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 1-6.
