Workers from the soon to be closed New Britain Walmart held a rally on Wednesday, fearful that their severance pay might be in jeopardy. The store is slated to be closed on August 31st and the company has reached to associates to try to find them work at other Walmart locations. But now some are speaking out saying that Walmart had threatened to cancel their severance pay if they refused a job offer at another location. Some of those at the rally said the job offers weren't comparable to their current position. Some were asked to take part-time work instead of full-time and often at locations too far away to make it feasible.
