The movie production that brought Hollywood glamour (Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti and Julianne Hough) to Fort Lauderdale's Himmarshee District and employed hundreds of locals as extras in shoots all over South Florida finally premiered to lackluster audiences, apparently unimpressed by Cruise's vividly realized Axl-Rose-meets-Colonel-Kurtz riff.
