Police are looking for the man they say caused a deadly, wrong-way crash on the Long Island Expressway service road early Saturday.
The accident occured around 6:45 a.m. Saturday near Exit 19, the off-ramp for Woodhaven and Queens boulevards.
Investigators say the man behind the wheel of a Chrysler Sebring convertible was going the wrong way, when he hit a Lincoln town car, heading east. A 37-year-old male passenger was thrown from the back seat into the windshield, and was killed instantly. The 59-year-old driver was rushed to a Elmhurst Hospital, where's he's listed in stable condition.
Meanwhile, police say the man behind the wheel of the Chrysler ran off leaving behind his 44-year-old passenger, who was charged with marijuana possession and taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he's still recovering.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
