The boos rained down on Cathie Black as an entire auditorium loudly turned on the new schools chancellor Thursday night.
The raucous crowd gathered at the educational policy meeting at Brooklyn Tech in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, to protest the decision to close 12 schools.
"You should not be sitting there, you have no education experience," said one man to Black.
"I just haven't been able to figure out whether we should give you a 'D' for disaster, or an 'F' for failure," said another.
Bloomberg, who had apparently elected most of the members on the board that voted to shut down 12 schools during the hearing, also took his share of criticism.
Midway through the meeting, the crowd became so loud that all proceedings came to a standstill.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
