The body of a Long Island man was discovered early Tuesday in a snow-covered vehicle parked along a block in Queens, police said.
Authorities identified the man as 36-year-old Kevin Roman of Bay Shore. An investigation determined that Roman died from a self-inflicted shotgun blast to the head.
Police believe the Long Island man may have been dead since last Wednesday, the day the Tri-state area was ravaged by an intense winter storm that dumped over a feet of snow in some parts.
Officials did not reveal who discovered the body that was found at around 12:30 a.m. inside a parked sedan at the intersection of 162nd Street and Laburnum Ave.
Roman reportedly had a history of drug and alcohol addictions.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
