Mets star third baseman David Wright teams up with Pirate Brands for a bit of April Fools fun. Wright became a "pirate" for a day, announcing his partnership with the Seacliff, NY based company known for its gluten-free and all-natural snacks like Pirate's Booty.
The four-time All Star and two-time Gold Glove winner tells us he "believes" in this product and wants to help people of all ages lead healthier lives. He has also decided to take an equity stake in the company. Pirate Brand will also support the David Wright Foundation, an organization founded by the third baseman in 2005 that promotes healthy development for kids in New York and Wright's hometown of Norfolk, VA.
