A Long Island father was charged Monday after police busted him for allegedly drunk driving while having his infant daughter in the car.
According to Suffolk County police, 27-year-old Milton Vasquez was driving a 1998 Nissan Altima along Pulaski Road in Huntington Station when officers pulled him over sometime after 11 p.m. for driving erratically.
Officers quickly determined that Vasquez was intoxicated following an interview which led to his arrest.
Vasquez' 21-month-old daughter was discovered, unharmed, sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
The Long Island is being charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child.
Vasquez is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
