An elderly couple found dead in their Hunterdon County home after almost a week without power, were discovered hours before Jersey Central Power & Light was going to restore electricity.
The victims, 84 and 89, were discovered Thursday night by a utility worker and a family member who had gone to check on the couple, whose names have not been released.
Power was reportedly restored to their block in the Holland Township area two hours after their bodies were found. Jersey Central Power & Light called the deaths "a terribly unfortunate and tragic accident."
