A teenage taxi driver was found fatally shot inside his vehicle Sunday afternoon on the Long Island street where he was supposed to have picked up a fare.
Suffolk County Police say Juan Rosario, 19, of Copaigue was found slumped over the steering wheel of his unmarked silver Chrysler mini-van at about 5:30 p.m.
The young taxi driver and his vehicle was found parked, just blocks away from his home on 33rd Street, on 42nd Street where he was sent to pick up a fare.
Rosario, who was employed by 5 Star Taxi Services on Edmunds Place, was pronounced dead at the scene by an official from Suffolk County's Medical Examiner's Office.
It was not immediately clear how many times Rosario had been shot.
