A Brooklyn mother was arrested after her 2-year-old girl was found wandering the streets outside their home early Monday wearing just a diaper.
According to authorities, the toddler was spotted by a passing driver who pulled over in shock, along Euclid Ave. near Ridgewood Ave. at around 2:10 a.m. where the baby was sitting on a curb sucking on a bottle.
Although she had no injuries, the toddler was transported to Brookdale University Hospital where she underwent an evaluation.
The baby was apparently left in the care of a babysitter, identified as 27-year-old Hugo Luna, who didn't realize that the baby had wandered off.
Police officers arrested and charged Luna with endangering the welfare of a child. The infant's mother, 30-year-old Lady Rosales, was questioned by police when she returned home. She was also arrested on the same charge.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
