Police have made an arrested in the robbery of a 68-year-old elderly blind woman who was pickpocketed at a Queens subway station in April.
According to reports, 39-year-old Latisha Richardson has been charged in the robber with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, jostling and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police say Richardson, along with a male accomplice who remains at large, targeted the victim on April 16 at the Queens Boulevard and 75 Avenue subway station in the Forest Hills section.
The brazen and heartless duo approached the blind woman who was accompanied by her guide dog, and swiped her wallet from her dress pocket. The woman's credit card was later used at several local businesses.
Police are still searching for the second suspect who is described as being in his 40s, 5-feet-6, 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, white jacket, black baseball cap and was carrying a black backpack.
