7-Eleven Worker Survives Horrific Hit-and-Run

A 7-Eleven employee managed to walk away from a shocking hit-and-run crash that sent him flying through the store window in Philadelphia.

The remarkable incident, which was captured by surveillance video outside the store, happened in the early hours of June 9.

Gejea Ejeta, 24, is seen taking out the trash when a parked 2007 Dodge Caliber backs up out of a spot then suddenly speeds forward, jumps the curb and careens into the front window.

The collision sent Ejeta flying through the window and into the store.

Seconds later, a passenger - later identified as Tyhese Pitts - emerges from the vehicle and calmly walks away, ignoring the injured 7-Eleven employee. It was later when Pitts turned herself into police custody.

Pitts told police that the driver of the vehicle was a nurse, Willaisha Rankins, 32.

Ejeta was taken to the hospital after the crash and is currently recovering at his home.
