Make sure all invites are sent in advance so guests can learn their character and find appropriate costumes.
Be conscious of guest's personalities when assigning characters to.
Food should be displayed on buffet to promote mingling among guests.
Use simple props appropriate to the theme of the party (toe tags, prescription pads, etc)
Stagger your party. Don't put out all the food, drinks and festivities at once. Always keep the guests on their toes.
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin, softened in 1/4 cup water
1 bunch green onion, finely chopped
1 lb crabmeat (or 3 lbs. cooked shrimp, coarsely chopped) or 1 lb lobster, shredded (or 3 lbs. cooked shrimp, coarsely chopped)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Tabasco sauce or creole seasoning, to taste
Heat soup, undiluted, and mix in the cream cheese. Stir in softened gelatin, and blend well. Fold in remaining ingredients, and pour into a lightly-oiled brain mold. (I pour some oil in and swirl it around, then pour out excess). Chill until firm, and serve with your favorite crackers, pita or bagel chips or scoops.
Syringe Jello Shots
1 cup of boiling water. Dissolve 1 package of Grape Jello (3 oz) and stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/4 cup of cold water, 3/4 cup of Blackberry Vodka and 1/8 teaspoon of Ginger Powder. Stir well and cool slightly before putting into syringe.
1 cup of boiling water . Dissolve 1 package of Black Cherry Jello and stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/4 cup of cold water , 3/4 cups of Vanilla Vodka. Stir well and cool slightly before putting into syringe.
2 cups boiling water. Dissolve 1 package of Orange Jello (3 oz) and 1 package of Pineapple Jello (3 oz) and stir at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add 1 cup of cold water followed by 1/4 cup of Amaretto, 1/4 cup of Coconut Rum, 1/4 cup of Dark Rum and 1/4 cup of Spiced Rum. Stir well and cool slightly before putting into syringe
1 tube of pre made pastry dough
16-18 mini hothogs
2 Tbs ketchup
The width of the pastry dough should be ¾ of the length of the mini hot dog. Just enough so the end of the hot dog is uncovered. Roll the hot dog in the dough and trim so the dough just overlaps when rolled around. Carve a small portion of the hot dog skin tip off on the tip to mimic a nail pattern. Fill with a drop of ketchup. Bake on at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Plastic store bought skull
1 package of deli ham
Smear cream cheese on the skull to act as glue. Lay pieces of ham to cover what would be the boney part oft the head. Wipe away any access cream cheese. This piece should be only for display and not used for eating.
