Graphic images of the slain mother, brother, and young nephew of singer Jennifer Hudson were shown in court Wednesday during the murder trial of William Balfour.

Balfour is accused of killing the victims.

Balfour appeared emotional, dabbing his eyes with a tissue as a bloody picture was shown of 7-year-old Julian King.

Similar death photos of Hudson's mother and brother were shown to the jury.

All three were shot to death in October of 2008.

Hudson and her sister Julia, Balfour's ex-wife were in court Wednesday but left when the gruesome testimony and pictures were shown to the jury.

Balfour's cell phone records were introduced as evidence by the prosecution and indicated he talked to Julia Hudson the morning of the murders and then his phone went silent for hours.  Prosecutors allege that's when he committed the crime, because he thought Julia Hudson was cheating on him.
