Orleans Parish School Board Gets $8.4m

The Orleans Parish School Board has been given $8.4 million to repair and replace damage from Hurricane Katrina.

The money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will help the school board replace such things as books, furniture, computers and supplies.

FEMA says the school board has received more than $76 million in rebuilding funds so far.
