Crude souvenir: $1,000 bottles of spilled BP oil

Think of it as a crude souvenir of thenation's worst environmental disaster.

As part of a relief effort to help seafood industry laborersthrown out of work by the BP oil spill, a group headed by KevinVoisin (VWAH zan) of Houma is offering sealed glass bottles of oilscooped up from Louisiana waters. The price: $1,000 a bottle.

Voisin, whose family runs a Houma seafood business, believesphilanthropists and charitable foundations may be willing to buythe bottles. Those who want to make lesser donatons can do so. Thewebsite for the relief effort is www.horizonrelief.org.
