(WGN-AM)- A government watchdog group Wednesday sued Cook County Board President Todd Stroger's administration for cell phone records related to the patronage hiring--and firing--of former steakhouse busboy Tony Cole, the Tribune's Clout Street blog reports.
The Better Government Association wants a judge to force the release of six months of records from the county government cellular telephones of Stroger, Cole, former Chief Financial Officer Donna Dunnings and Stroger spokesman Eugene Mullins.
Repeated requests for those records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act records were denied, according to the BGA.
