The CSO.  Enjoy the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as they kick off their 2012/2013 season with a free concert in Millennium Park.  This year, Music Director Riccardo Muti will lead the CSO, Chicago Symphony Chorus and Chicago Children’s Choir in the spectacular Carmina Burana. It is one of the most famous pieces in the orchestral repertoire and they’re expecting another packed house (25,000 attended the last Millennium Park concert in 2010).   The show is this Friday, September 21st, at 6:30pm.  They are encouraging you to get their earlier, however, as they are planning some fun surprises earlier on in the evening!  If you’re in the great lawn, be sure to pack up your blanket, picnic and cocktails, as outside food is permitted.  If you can’t make it on Friday, consider another night indoors with the world-renowned CSO.  The season’s schedule and tickets can be found at
