Another busy week with some things still pending so, don't forget to check back in this blog post for more as we know it.Here's what we do know, at the moment ...
SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY MORNING:
Our New Music Monday laser lands on "White Sugar," the debut album for British born blues singer/guitarist Joanne Shaw Taylor. Despite only being in her 20's, this lady sings and plays with more than enough soul to teach us all something about what it means to have the blues.
MONDAY NIGHT/TUESDAY MORNING:
One of the many controversial items from the legacy of, former Governor, Rod Blagojevich is a law requiring that, if you live in Cook County, you have to put your fingerprint on file when you sell your home. Not surprisingly, not everyone thinks this is a good idea and some think it is an unnecessary invasion of privacy. We'll talk about it with Ralph J. Schumann, President of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association.
TUESDAY NIGHT/WEDNESDAY MORNING:
Tonight we kick off the show with a 94th birthday celebration for the incredible Les Paul. If you haven't been paying attention then let us remind you that, along with selling millions of records and winning several Grammy Awards, he's been an inovator in the creation of the electric guitar, multiple recording techniques, close miking, echo, delay and just about every other "toy" that today's guitarists and recording engineers take for granted. Having worked with everyone from Bing Crosby to Slash, as he turns 94 you can still find him each Monday night playing at the Iridium Jazz Club, in New York. Tonight he plays radio with us.
Here's a link to a special 94th birthday tribute to Les from the Gibson guitar company.
As the General Motors it's way through bankruptcy, we thought it might be a good time to take a look at one of the vehicles they say will be a key to the new leaner/meaner GM. So, tonight in our Radio Road Test we take a look at the 2009 Cadillac CTS DI AWD.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT/THURSDAY MORNING:
So, what's the big news from the Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference 2009? We'll talk about that and try to solve your computer problems on Website Wednesday Night as we assemble the world famous Cybersquad.
Adding to the Cybersquad's ranks tonight with the latest on some of the unveilings at the Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference is Mike Reid from Elusive Technologies.
Once again we check in with our own late night showbiz guru, Gino Salomone, for the latest high and low points and mostly strange scoops from behind the big and small screens.
THURSDAY NIGHT/FRIDAY MORNING:
We'll try to get to all of the unspoken thoughts, unanswered questions and last minute texts as we clear off our desks for the weekend in the 3 AM Unfinished Bidnezz Hour.
Who? What? Where? Howmuch? No, we're not talking Illinois politics. We're talking Friday, Saturday and Sunday fun! We highlight the best during our 4 AM hour as we present The Weekend!
As we've said before, things change and we go with the flow as needed. Here's hoping you'll join us to see how it all plays out.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
