Beryl transitioned into a fully tropical storm and reached its peak intensity, with winds of 70 mph. Beryl weakened slightly before it made landfall near Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The system weakened to a tropical depression shortly afterwards, and became post-tropical on May 30.
