Methodists join fast fundraiser

The La Cañada United Methodist Church Youth Group this Friday begins its ninth year participating in World Vision’s 30-hour famine, “Release the Feast,” by joining their counterparts at Glendale United Methodist Church in fasting between lunchtime on Friday until 6:30 p.m. Saturday. This is a fundraising event, with the La Cañada youths setting a goal of raising $3,000 to help feed and care for seven children for one year. Donations are welcome. Pledges can be made online at 30hf.worldvision.org/goto/LCUMC. For more information about the event email Karyn Kemmerer at karyn.kemmerer@gmail.com.

On Sunday, Pastor Elaine Cho will preach on “Why Do You Believe?” during the 10:30 a.m. worship service at the church, which is located at 104 Berkshire Place. Adult education is at 9 a.m., followed by intercessory prayer at 10 a.m.

For more information about the church call (818) 790-3605.
