Ask the Travel Diva: Click 'buy,' and your plane ticket costs more - what's up with that?
Dear Travel Diva: I was booking a flight on the Delta website today for my wife. We selected outbound and return flights, entered our personal information and credit card information and hit purchase. The following message popped up: The price for the flights you selected has increased from $336 to $408, do you want to continue? I nearly blew a gasket! How can you raise the price in the middle of a transaction? It would be like Target putting a $10 price tag on something, and then it's $12 at the register!
