Travel to Hawaii -- North Shore Pipeline of Oahu
Kolohe Andino, 17, was making his first appearance at the Billabong Pipe Masters, Dec. 8, 2011. Register Travel Editor Gary A. Warner covered his father, Dino, during North Shore competition in 1991. This year Kolohe was a special invitee, but next year will compete on the pro circuit, returning to Pipeline. Though he was knocked out in the second round of the contest, he received an ovation from the crowd for his aggressive style in big surf.
