While Universal Orlando has yet to officially announce an opening date for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley, it is now offering a deal to Florida residents that will allow special access to the park expansion beginning June 29.
From June 29-Aug. 2, the deal starts at $139 per adult per night including tax for a three-night stay at Universal's newest hotel, the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The price drops to $119 for Aug. 17-Oct. 2. You can upgrade to stay at either Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel or Loews Portofino Bay Hotel for as low as $155 a night or stay at one of Universal's off-site partner hotels for as low as $105 a night.
The cost includes two-day, park-to-park tickets that allow access to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, which is required for those wanting to hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and move from the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the expanded land by taking the train via Hogsmeade Station to King’s Cross Station.
Also with the package comes early park admission to the Wizarding World and breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley as well as themed welcome package at the hotel.
Also, if you upgrade to one of Universal's top-tier hotels, you get a complimentary Universal Express Unlimited ride access that lets you skip regular lines at certain attractions in both theme parks all day, which has a value of $89 per person, per day.
Universal had previously offered a similar Potter package with the June 29 start date, and that was open to anyone, not just Florida residents. That package required a four-night stay, though, and the costs were $135 a night for Cabana Bay, $109 a night for the off-site partner hotels and $199 a night for the top-tier hotels.
To take advantage of either offer, you must book by July 31. To book the package, go to www.UniversalOrlando.com or call 1-877-801-9720.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
