Walt Disney World has released more details about the next Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which begins Sept. 28.
Florida will be represented with its own festival marketplace. Specific dishes were not identified, although there will be "fresh twists on regional flavors" developed by Disney World chefs, the company says. A marketplace dedicated to vegan fare also will be introduced this year.
On Wednesdays during the festival, chefs will guide a tasting tour around World Showcase with stops and key marketplaces. Included in the price, which has not yet been announced by Disney, will be five dishes and five beverage items.
Also look for additional kid-friendly/alcohol-free beverages at marketplaces.
Returning: Eat to the Beat concerts (starting with Night Ranger on Sept. 28), home-entertaining seminars by HGTV designers, celebrity chefs, culinary demonstrations, five rounds of Party for the Senses and other eating-oriented activities.
It will be the longest Food & Wine Festival in its 17 year history — 46 days. It wraps up Nov. 12.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
