Disney World is adding another interactive activity — this one with a pirate theme — to its theme park lineup this spring. A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas will debut in the Magic Kingdom's Adventureland. An exact date was not announced.
Disney is sketchy on many details of the attraction, but according to the official Disney Parks Blog, guests will help Captain Jack on a quest using a map and "magic talisman" to complete five pirate raids in Adventureland.
Other Disney World games include the Disney Agent P World Showcase Adventure at Epcot and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, which debuted last year. Unlike the Sorcerers game, there will be no collectible cards to activate the effects, Disney said.
A Disney-supplied illustration of Pirate's Adventure appears to show skulls with laser-beam eyes amid Adventureland attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Swiss Family Treehouse. Also in the scene are circling sharks, firing cannons and tents selling goods such as ships in bottles and shrunken heads.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
