Celebrating Independence Day in our nation's capital is something worth seeing at least once. Several fun festivities will keep you busy during the day. Check out happenings such as the Smithsonian Folklife Festival or the National Independence Day Parade. A large, free concert on the West Lawn serves as the opening act to the night's fireworks.
