After all of the hype I finally skiied Attitash this winter to see if they were so much better than ever as the new ownership has been saying. I was a big fan until last winter, when the snow quality took a nosedive. For 20 years, Attitash was always the best place to ski due to excellent surface conditions.
It was so much better in past years. The conditions are no way near what they used to be. Though the grooming is excellent, the snow quality is what has fallen off. Attitash was the place to go when other ski area conditions were bad, now they were the worst of the four ski resorts i visited during my vacation. My best to worst were 1, Wildcat. 2, Bretton Woods. 3, Cranmore. 4, Attitash.
I might give Attitash another chance, but not until a warm late winter day
