The OC Blog is back again with another spot check for you and your hungry palettes. If you are looking for one of the best local eats in Ocean City, go no further than Belly Busters Seafood & Deli on 45th Street and Coastal Highway.
With a surf shack feel, "Belly's" serves up the good eats, including excellent steamed crabs and seafood, wraps and beers. It also serves up huge sandwiches that at times are so big they serve as two meals. And there's no need to stop at the store to grab yourself a few brews for the evening, Belly Busters has carry out beer for you right in the restaurant.
This is one of the most laid-back and popular spots in town and with good reason - the restaurant has the friendliest wait staffs you could imagine. Everyone seems to be quite stoked to be at work and equally as happy that you stopped in for a bite to eat. It's a restaurant that exudes beach life with surf photos on the walls, sand on the doormat and an overall relaxed atmosphere that works perfectly with a cold beer and the summer sun. (Note: It's a small restaurant so if you're heading there during the dinner rush you might run into trouble getting a seat.)
A personal favorite dish for me is the chicken parmigiana sub, but the blackened grilled tuna wrap and of course the crabs never disappoint.
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it all will rock your taste buds.
Belly Busters is at 4408 Coastal Highway, Ocean City. Call 410-524-7116.
