Late-night eats in Ocean City

Sometimes you need some extra fuel in the tank to keep you going after midnight, whether you're partying late during your vacation or looking for a snack after work. Ocean City has some great spots with kitchens open until at least 1 a.m. These places will make you want to stay until last call.

Mother’s Cantina

What makes it great: The bar is a bit cozy, but the restaurant has the best Mexican food in town. Owner Ryan James said their fresh ingredients set them apart from the crowd.

Macky’s Bayside Bar & Grill

Kitchen closes: A limited menu is available until 1 a.m.

What makes it great: This bar has awesome specials throughout the week. Their theme parties every Tuesday are legendary, and Thursday is “Little Black Dress” night, where wine and cocktails are half off if you’re wearing a LBD.

Harborside Bar & Grill

What makes it great: Beautiful views of the harbor, delicious orange crushes and tasty late-night snacks. This is the bar that invented the orange crush, and they have nine different variations available. If you don’t love sweet things, they also have three kinds of grapefruit crushes -- they’re very refreshing.

What makes it great: A good selection of traditional pub food and one killer special: Tuesday nights bottles are only $2.

The Abbey Burger Bistro

What makes it great: You can build your own burger after midnight, pick a drink from their extensive list of bottle and draft beers, or enjoy an alcoholic Berger cookie shake.
