Air France's first Airbus A380 takes off in Paris

Today, Air France's first of 12 Airbus A380s made its inaugural flight from Paris to New York. When daily transatlantic flights begin Monday, Air France will be the first European carrier to offer commercial flights aboard the superjumbo jet. The carrier has big shoes to fill. When Singapore Airlines debuted its A380 in 2007, it was the first carrier to offer fully enclosed suites. Emirates featured shower spas.
